BAIL vs JAIL, You Decide

The Case May Get Stalled if You're Out
Proactive Defendants
Shift The Power

Prosecutors usually move cases along more slowly when defendants are not in custody. As a result, witnesses can disappear and cases can get stale. Defendants that are bailed out often wind up with better outcomes. As defense attorneys say, "Delayed justice is justice."
Defendants who bail out, have a chance to get involved in constructive activities that may lead a prosecutor or judge to reduce or dismiss the charges against them or lessen their punishment. Example: Go to NA/AA meetings or enroll in an anger management class.
If they have you in jail, the scale of justice has shifted to the prosecution, and they can force you to enter a guilty plea. If you're out of jail, the power dynamic is different. When bail is posted, the scale of justice is now level resulting in a good number of cases to be dismissed or will result in no jail time at all.
